The (Previously Secret) Family Guacamole Recipe
Is it possible to have a family recipe that isn’t secret? Probably not.
And can I fully guarantee that the person-who-shall-not-be-named who authored this recipe didn’t request I still withhold one last little secret?
The world will never know. You’ll just have to give it a try and see what you think!
Ingredients:
2 Tablespoons of chopped white onion
1-2 Roma tomatoes. Remove all watery inner fruit and seeds. Chop the remainder (the amount depends on personal preference).
2 serrano chiles, seeded and chopped. Remember the heat comes from the seeds and inner rind – remove or not, according to how hot you want it!
3 Avocados
Salt to taste
2 Tablespoons of chopped fresh cilantro
Instructions:
Mix the chopped onions, tomatoes, and chiles. Try to “mash” these together a bit if you can.
Add the 3 avocados to the tomato mixture and mash to the desired consistency. Personally, I like to leave this a bit chunky.
Add the fresh chopped cilantro and salt to taste.
Serve and enjoy!
